Who we are

15 years ago, a handful of college-age friends grabbed their clubs, packed a cooler, and headed for Black Diamond Golf Course in Millersburg, Ohio — racking up strokes and beers in about equal measure while stumbling around the hills. Brian Wells organized that first outing back in 2012, and somehow it stuck. These days, twenty of us gather annually for a multi-day event to battle for the trophy that bears its name. Brian's still running the show — just with a lot more spreadsheets and handicap calculations.

The Battle for the Bronze Lady

The main event and the outing that started it all, held the first week of August every year. Twenty-plus golfers descend for four team-format rounds. The official battle is a four-man scramble on day two — the winning team takes home a cash prize and the Bronze Lady trophy itself.

The Rough Ryder Cup

The Bronze Lady faithful split into two camps — eight North, eight South — for 27 holes of Ryder Cup–style match play. Captains call the shots; grit, smack talk, and drinking ability are all fair game.
